Our client is a Business Services and Products company headquartered in the Boston Metro area, and is seeking to add a Director of Strategic Sourcing- IT to their business. They are a privately held organization, dedicated to innovation and excellence in their industry. As a key member of their leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the Strategic Sourcing at an enterprise level and contribute to the overall success of the company.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The Strategic Sourcing Director-IT to lead a team of 10+ and cover a spend of >$500M annual IT spend across Hardware, Software, and Services. Reporting to the VP for Global Indirect Spend, you'll collaborate closely with the CIO and IT leaders.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
Lead a team, foster talent, and manage spend in IT categories
Develop strategies for sustainable competitive advantage
Drive year-on-year improvements in quality, service, innovation, and cost
Conduct RF(x) events, lead negotiations, and engage senior stakeholders
Build strategic supplier relationships and support planning processes
Provide insights on market trends, benchmarks, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with governance processes and Purchasing control systems
Educate stakeholders on key initiatives and policies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of sourcing or IT experience, including 7+ years in management
Nice to have: Engineering, economics, or equivalent degree
